How to clip GTA 6 on PS5
Double-press the Create button on your DualSense to save the last 30 seconds of GTA 6. Find the clip in Media Gallery, trim it, and it lands on your phone through the PlayStation App within minutes if auto-upload is on.
Set up once, before 19 November
- Set the clip length. Settings › Captures and Broadcasts › Captures › Shortcuts for Create Button › Length of Recent Gameplay Video Clip. Pick 30 seconds or 3 minutes. Options run from 15 seconds to 1 hour.
- Switch to MP4. Settings › Captures and Broadcasts › Captures › Video Clip Format › MP4. The default WebM is harder to edit and upload on phones and PCs.
- Keep it at 1080p. In the same Captures menu, keep the video clip resolution at 1080p if you want clips on your phone. The PS App skips 4K clips.
- Turn on auto-upload. Settings › Captures and Broadcasts › Captures › Auto-Upload, or in the PlayStation App go to Library › Captures › Enable. Leave the PS5 in rest mode with Stay Connected to the Internet on.
Do this during preload week so you are ready the moment GTA 6 unlocks.
Save and share a clip
- Something wild happens. Keep playing. The PS5 is always recording the last stretch of gameplay in the background.
- Double-press Create. Double-pressing the Create button (left of the touchpad) saves the recent gameplay at the length you set. Or press it once and choose Save Recent Gameplay to pick a length.
- Trim it. Open Media Gallery, select the clip and choose Edit to cut it down to the moment. Short clips rank better.
- Get it on your phone. Auto-uploaded clips appear in the PlayStation App under Library › Captures within minutes. Tap Download to save it. Clips stay in the app for 14 days and must be 3 minutes or less.
- Post it to Sunset Strip. Upload the clip to the Sunset Strip Clipper, or paste your TikTok, YouTube or Twitch link on the board. Players vote, and the best clips climb the hourly leaderboard.

How do I clip the last 30 seconds on PS5?

Why are my PS5 clips not showing in the PS App?
