Questions
When can I pre-load GTA 6?
From Thursday 12 November 2026, one week before the 19 November launch. Rockstar confirmed the date for digital pre-orders; boxed copies (a download code) go on sale the same day so you can pre-load too. Outlets report pre-loading opens at midnight local time.
How big is GTA 6?
Rockstar has not announced the file size, and Sony's store page does not list a storage requirement yet. Fan estimates range from about 150 GB to 300 GB. Clearing around 300 GB covers the high end plus a day-one update.
Can I play GTA 6 as soon as the pre-load finishes?
No. The game stays locked until 19 November at your country's unlock time, starting with New Zealand at midnight NZDT (11:00 UTC on 18 November).
Does the boxed copy of GTA 6 come with a disc?
No. The physical edition contains a download code, not a disc. Redeem it on your console's store from 12 November to pre-load.
Will GTA 6 fit on an Xbox Series S?

Can I pre-load GTA 6 on PC?
No. GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. Rockstar has not announced a PC version.
